Designed to a T was founded by me, myself and I, Tina Rhodes, in 2018. Founded primarily to satisfy my desire to be creative, this business was also meant to make a buck or two by sharing the products of my labors with the world.
Although the company is new, my creative endeavors are not. I’ve been painting and drawing since I was a small child and in high school (during the Pleistocene Era) won a Gold Key Scholastic Award for one of my mixed media projects, which was displayed for a brief time in the William Penn State Museum in Harrisburg, PA. At the time there was also an article in the Patriot-News newspaper with a photo of me looking like an uncomfortable dork with several other Gold Key winners from my school. Unfortunately, my father convinced me that I wanted to go into the military and become a JAG officer–neither of which ever happened (long meandering story better left for another day). After grad school I ended up becoming a computer programmer in an ass-backwards kind of way (another long story) and I’ve spent the last 20 years coding web applications. During all that time I would occasionally, time permitting, draw, paint, wood carve, etc and produce works of art, usually as gifts. Then one day in 2017, my inner artist could not take being shunted to the side any more and here we are.
Also, a word about my daughter. She is a camera shy teenager so we won’t be seeing her lovely face here but her art will definitely be making an appearance. Buy her stuff too. She really is quite talented.
I hope you like what you see and that you like it so much, you actually buy something and recommend us to others.
